HEFT STUDIO is an independent design and furniture studio founded by me, Helena. We’re currently a one-woman, one-whippet show based just outside Edinburgh in the East Lothian countryside. I believe in celebrating artistry and craftsmanship, designing to highlight the materials and the making process.

To reduce workshop waste, I make wee batches of wooden homewares from off-cuts of previous commissions.
I produce a limited run of items seasonally and they're available right now. Bowls, boards and a few sets of tongs make up this winters offering. Happy shopping.

what we do
We offer a bespoke furniture design and manufacture service, working in a selection of Scottish hardwoods.
We work on a commission basis, collaborating closely with our clients to create one of a kind pieces of furniture for their home or interior.
We welcome enquiries from private clients, architects and design professionals. We can create individual pieces of furniture or collections for larger spaces, both interior and exterior.
